Frequently Asked Questions
If you don't find answers to your questions here, contact Kara at kara(at)karaforeman(dot)com.
What's the origin of the game?
The game was designed by Robert and Kim Kiyosaki. Robert is the author of Rich Dad Poor Dad: What The Rich Teach Their Kids About Money - That The Poor And Middle Class Do Not!, Rich Dad's CASHFLOW Quadrant: Rich Dad's Guide to Financial Freedom
and several other best selling books focused on financial education. He and Kim are committed to bringing financial literacy to the masses.
How long does it take to play?
It usually takes about 30 minutes to get into the swing of the game. Once you have, it's hard to stop. Based on the game's rules, the game ends when the first player buys their dream. However, often the other players just want to keep going. This is why we set a time limit on the game of 3 hours. You can leave the game whenever you want. It won't affect the other players.
How many people can play?
There is space for 6 players. Players support each other through the process of playing but they are not dependent on each other to keep the game going. You don't compete with each other. Rather your challenge lies in the development of your money savvy - which is the purpose of the game.
Why is there a cost to play?
Learning the game and getting the most from it requires facilitation from someone who knows the game well and understands the financial concepts that it introduces.
