What is the Tarot?

The Tarot is an ancient oracle tool comprised of a deck of cards with archetypal symbols. The cards are laid out in a pattern called a "spread" which the Tarot reader interprets. It can be used for personal insight or to assist another in gaining clarity around aspects of their lives.

I'm new to the Tarot. Where do I start?

Start with the introductory class - Reading the Tarot. You'll learn everything you need to get started. Offered through Courtenay and Comox Recreation Centres, dates and registration info can be found on my Event Calendar.

When you're ready to go deeper, register for the Advanced course.

What should I bring to class?

Bring Tarot cards, and paper and pen. If you don't own a Tarot deck, please borrow or purchase one. If you are purchasing your own deck, I recommend you look at several options at your local vendor. Choose the one that most resonates with you.

Who teaches the classes?

Kara Foreman is the instructor. She has been a practicing Tarot reader for more than 45 years and she brings a broad range of eclectic and esoteric knowledge to her classes and personal readings.

This class was fun, engaging and inspiring. I feel like I learned so much, not only about myself but in my own psychic abilities. I went from not believing that I could read the cards whatsoever, to doing my very first reading in Kara's class, which was apparently so bang on that it moved my friend to tears. It was a phenomenal experience for me.
